Same beach, different days

Last week Gabe went back to school. It was just Kalei and I. In the spur of a moment I decided to take him to the beach for a little time alone with me. I love to do that. One at time dates.

We went to Siesta Key. The ocean was silent and still. Calm. Tranquil. Like a big, huge lake. So, so beautiful!

I sat on my chair and watched Kalei in the water. He played forever. I could have joined him and I wanted to, but watching him so graciously playing was too good to interrupt the moment.

Birds. They were everywhere. They owned the beach. They are little creatures but they can be very determined to steal your food. And they did few times.

A different day at the same beach (last Sunday). It was after the hurricane Irene hit the East Coast. The water was very agited and loud. I have never seen the gulf water as today, big waves and strong current. Yet, very fun!

Red flag. Swim at your own risk.

The wind blew determinedly. It caressed our skin as the sun nicely warmed it. Good combination.

Irene left its footprints somehow in the gulf. It was a good beach day.
