Blast to the past

I said I would cover the gap between when we left Virginia and arrived in Florida.

There were events and days too important to be forgotten. It's my responsibility to register all those precious moments here. So if you please, hop on the time machine with me, would you?!

One sweet afternoon at Reston Town Center. We picked up Gabe's good friend, Connor, to come along with us. Gabe was all smiles. I live to see these moments. Pure and genuine happiness.

Every single time our family goes out for ice-cream (which happens to be very often lately!) we have to find a cookie for Kalei. He's not a lover of ice-cream.

This time Kalei is having a ball with his friend Harry. I am not sure he understands that this is a goodby playdate :-(

Famous American Event at Gabe's school. He was Benjamin Franklin. The entire class with its amazing teacher, Ms. Galván, worked very hard to present this show to all the parents. It was a highlight of the year.

At our back to school night at the very beginning of the year and in all the notes sent home regarding this event, Ms. Galván advised us to bring kleenex (tissue). I did not listen, and oh boy, I needed them!

Here we have: Connor as Abraham Lincoln, Cameron as Paul Revere, Mark as George Washington
Gabe as Benjamin Franklin and Nabeel as Johnny Appleseed.

His speech. He did a wonderful job!

Gabe and his dear friend Albert Einstein. We will all miss Albert Einstein (Aidan)!

Gabe had a dedicated and caring teacher to say the least, in his first grade at Potowmack. He liked her very much.

As soon as she learned that we would be leaving to Florida she put a lot of energy, love and hard work into making a wonderful book for Gabe to take with him to his new home. All the kids in the classroom wrote something for him.

She surprised all of us by delivering the book to our home in person! I can't say enough how happy Gabe was to read this book in our drive down to Florida. It was very special. And he keeps it in a very safe place!

I hope I made justice to our last few days in Virginia. Those days will stay forever with me.
