Almost a month later...

here I am. It will be a great task to accomplish this post. So much happenned these last few days. So much to sink in. Much was felt very fully. I guess these days were the hardest and happiest of my life.

There is so much to catch up between the gap from last time I was here and today. But I guess I'll get back to it slowly in later posts. Now I need to share Sarasota with you all first. I can't hold it in anymore.

We are in awe. We have to pinch ourselves often to believe that what we are living these days is actually how our life will be. But constantly we have the feeling that this vacation will be over in a few days just to be reminded again that here is our home now. It's overwelmingly good.

People are genuinely happy here. They are eager to welcome you. They often offer help and  go beyond their way to make you feel good.

Oh, the beaches! The freedom that it brings. The feeling of being closer to nature. The crisp and clean air that the ocean breeze lets us breath. The contentment to just seat in our beach chairs and let the sand caress our feet. Watching our boys running in and out the water. Bending to find sea shells and collecting them all in a bucket. Soaking in the warm water with no rush to be anywhere else. Watching the sun spill its orange vibrant color into the clouds as it sets. The feeling of belonging to a much better quality of life. We are happy!

We left the beach at 9:00 pm a couple of times. People are not in any rush. They know how to drink life. They savor the beautiful moments. And we are glad to be part of this. To be grateful for the amazing sunset. We'll make time to smell the flowers, watch the birds and relax with the kids!

The energy we find and experience in different corners of the city is exciting. The ice-cream shops are inviting. The many, many diferent places to still explore and go is a promise. We hold a smile in our faces at all times.

What also feels good is that we worked very hard and accomplished much to have our dream come true. All the sacrifices and bumpy roads we went through led us to this. It is such a rewarding feeling to see that all the determination paid off. It is very well appreciated.
