I have driven a hundred times around our community and I have ridden my bike probably twenty times around the neighborhood but we had never gone for a walk until tonight.
We count the days for Friday night. We anticipate our plans for that night. It's fun. But tonight we were low key and decided to stick around and just go for a walk in our neighborhood. The kids loved the idea!
Each of the boys carried a little bag with some of their favorite toys
We stopped to see the lizards, worms, birds and mushroons on our way.
We were all ears to them and they talked so excitedly about everything. So sweet.
The clubhouse
We stopped for a little workout...just kidding...Kalei needed to use the restroom.
Our final destination. Toys out. Soaking in as much as I can of the kids. When I offer my attention to them they have the world to tell me. They don't need fancy outings. All they crave is our attention and love.
Gabe asked me to take a picture of him with his very favorite toy. Look the smile he suddenly has to offer to the camera! Where is this smile when mommy asks to let her take a picture of him???
Lined-up toys.
Ok, you see this smile? a little different from the one of him and the cheetah on the picture above, right?! :-)
Heading back home.
I was so pooped out today. I thought I would hit the pillow early tonight. I made a big mistake by eating a big chocolate bar. I am a chocolate lover. And here I am 1:35am typing while my family is asleep.
My heart is not at total peace. An earthquake hit Virginia/Washington D.C area last Tuesday. Luckily no one was harmed. This area does not have an infra-structure for earthquake.
Now there is a hurricane category 2 storm hitting the East coast. Hurricane Irene. I hope for the very best. I have dear friends that I cherish much in those areas. I'll keep you all in my thoughts tonight.
Good night morning.
