Summer of 2011

I can't believe it's over! Gabe went back to school today.

This summer will be in our memories forever. It was the summer we ventured to a new life. We left much behind such as a secure job and precious friends, in search of a simpler life, in hope to place our values in things that truly makes us happy.

We want to simply live one day at time and be more present.

This summer we had lots of ice-cream. I mean - lots! We explore every little homemade ice-cream shop in this little town.

We went for walks, to the theater, to the water park, and beaches, many beaches!

Oh, and Gabe enjoyed schleich animals this summer.

And I...I took pictures, lots of them.

Most of all, I enjoyed these two boys! I had a great time with them. I am going to miss them terribly now that they are back in school. I love having them at home for summer. Love it! My house is going to feel empty...

P.S. We made to the beach 9:00 o'clock this past Saturday. That's the earliest we made to the beach this summer. It's so worthy. I love the freshness of the sand, the tranquility of the ocean and the greeting of the sun on our bare no sun-screened skin.

There were two weddings at this beach this morning. We sat down on our chairs and watched blinking only to look at the ocean and turn our eyes right back to it.   Beautiful and simple. I didn't have my camera. I wish I did. How often do we get a chance to see a wedding at the beach and this early in the morning?!

I hope you had a great summer.
