These days we always start our weekend with a soccer match on Saturday morning and we usually end it with an ice-cream trip and a nice beach sunset.
Sunday we went to Fort Myers - Sanibel Island. It's about 2 hours south of us. The island is very charming. There are many bikers since most of the beaches are accessible only by foot (not much public parking around the island).
I love these pathways that take us to the gulf beaches. Many beaches here have a sense of mystery because they are shrouded in vegetation, which keeps their beauty a secret to outsiders. That secret is revealed only when one crosses the pathway and becomes an insider. And boy, do i love that anticipation?!
The water has been gradually getting warm and i can't wait for those days where we spend most of our time in- the- water! the kids are in the water all year round! :-)
Much of the beach sand on Sanibel is like this. We sure came back with a handful of shells for our collection (since we moved to florida we have been collecting shells and putting them in glass containers). One day these shells will help us tell a story of our lives at the beaches.
ToysRus became novelty for the kids since we don't have one near us. They seem to be in heaven once they step inside the store. They know where to go and that little corner is the only place they aim for - Schleich. Nothing else matters to them.
If we were not on a schedule and we let them, they would spend hours in that little section. You know, important decisions to be made :-) Picking the right animal to bring home and make it part of our family is not an easy and quick decision.
